Orange Pie

Ingredients for the orange pie:
330 gr. Sunflower Oil
300 gr. Sugar
5 eggs
300 gr. Yoghurt
1 glass fresh orange juice
1 vanilla
200 gr. corn flour
20 gr. baking powder
450 gr. phylo pastry
Ingredients for the syrup:
300 gr. Water
300 gr. Orange juice
150 gr. Sugar
1 cinnamon stick
Cloves
Method:
1. Place all the ingredients
for the syrup in a saucepan and let it simmer.
2. Add all the
ingredients for the orange pie except the phylo pastry in a bowl and using a
whisk, beat until smooth.
3. Cut the phylo pastry into strips and gently separated them.
4. Add the pieces of the phylo pastry gradually to the orange pie mixture and
incorporate it by mixing in circular motions so as to achieve the desired
fluffiness.
5. Pour the mixture into a baking pan and bake in an oven preheated to 160C for
30 minutes.
6. Removed cake from oven, poke lots of small holes with a fork or knife and
pour in the syrup.
7. Garnish with homemade
grapes in syrup.
